The overall goal of my e-folio is to examine how to achieve higher engagement in science learning through use of digital technologies, within a pedagogical constructivist environment. The problems addressed in this e-folio (and my research) relate to the growing concern regarding lagging student enrolment in Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) fields in post-secondary in Canada and the United States, and related long-term implications of a knowledge workforce deficit (Council of Ministers of Education, Canada, 2013).

In order to examine how knowledge is formed, individually and collaboratively, the Information & Communications Technology Pedagogy Content Knowledge (ICT-TPCK) framework is evaluated through both an epistemological and constructivist lens.
Specifically, ICT-TPCK provides a framework in which instructional practices can be deconstructed and analysed for efficacy, and which student learning processes can be assessed through a constructivist lens within an e-learning supported environment, or a Technology Enhanced Learning Environment. Attached below is my assignment #1: STEM framing.
